I play regularly, at least once a month I’ve played a lot, but not recently or consistently I’ve played before, but it was a while ago or just for a few sessions I’ve never played before. When you play video/tabletop games, do you prefer…? (select as many as you like) Lots of action! Lots of puzzles! Lots of dialogue with characters! Lots of traps and obstacles! When you are given a set of gameplay rules, do you consider them…? Final and to be adhered to the letter. Open to interpretation. More like guidelines really. Not important and get in the way. When learning to play a new game, what approach do you prefer? (select as many as you like) I prefer to watch videos or look at visual guides to explain the mechanics. I prefer to read the rules and game statistics. I prefer to listen to someone explain the game. I prefer to just start playing and pick it up as I go. When playing action or adventure games, how do you feel about depictions of violence? I like over-the-top graphic violence (blood spray, gore, limbs flying, etc.) I like realistic violence (blood, visible wounds, serious injury and high risk of death). I like hollywood violence (some blood and bruising, minor injuries, fatal wounds are shown or described but not in detail). I like stylised violence (no blood but scuffs and bruises, knocked down on hits but get back up, knocked out of fights and if death is shown it is not violent). How do you feel about sexual and/or romantic themes in games? (note: explicit descriptions of sex, and sexual violence or abuse are not acceptable at the table) I am comfortable with descriptions of sexual attraction, romantic scenes, and am open to “fade to black” scenes. I am comfortable with allusions to attraction, romantic themes, but do not want to be engaged with sexually.
